I wanted to something I could use as a bookmark, so i made these two plates. In the end I made a few prints with both of them like this one. The paint isn't spread evenly on purpose, so that's why it's a bit smudgy and darker than if you "would have done it properly". It's supposed to resemble the surface of water.
And I didn't use any of the prints as a bookmark after all..
In Finnish there's written on the left one "Sukella.." (=dive) and on the right one (which actually can't be seen after all) : "Odotan sinua.." = (I'm waiting for you.)
The idea was that when opening a book again, there would be like a note saying "dive" (into the other world) or when closing a book - "I'll wait (for your return)."

I think I'm wondering what eyehatecows is, how did you get the wonderful shades of colors, rather than simply a single color as normally would be done with an aquatint or hardground?
